How to prepare for your Sunbar glow

Exfoliation

Your spray tan colours the top layer of skin and you need to make sure your skin has been exfoliated so new, healthy skin is being treated. Start your exfoliating regime in the week leading up to your tan to leave a perfect, smooth canvas.

Moisturising

Lather up daily leading up to your tan will mean your skin is in the best condition possible for your appointment. Pay particular attention to dry areas such as elbows, hands, ankles and feet. It’s especially important to moisturise if exfoliating is making your skin dry as flaky skin doesn’t equal a good tan.

Hair removal

If you’re planning to shave, wax or undergo any other hair removal, make sure you do it at least 24 hours before going in for your spray tan. This will give your pores times to close so your skin is ready to receive the tan. Also, if you leave hair removal until after your tan, you could accidentally remove your colour.

On the day

keep your skin free of any moisturisers, perfume or deodorant.  Applying products to your skin can form a barrier which means the tanning product won’t penetrate properly, deodorants and perfumes will turn the skin green. So leave your skin bare before going in for your appointment.

Clothing

Avoid tight clothing and spaghetti strap, boob tube dresses as they will mark your tan. We highly recommend wearing a dressing gown, pjs, button or zip up tops or loose pants from your appointment.

What to expect

After we have discussed your desired colour and established what skin type you are, you will be given a disposable G string and hairnet. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible and you are welcome to bring in your own under garments such as, bike shorts, strapless bra etc. If you are breast feeding we do supply complimentary breast stickers, just request a set upon arrival.

We look forward to seeing you
